Hosted by our cruise partner, AmaWaterways, these small-group land packages include seamless transportation between the ship and city. Your AmaWaterways Cruise Manager serves as your host throughout, you'll enjoy a truly seamless experience from start to finish.
The extension combines guided tours with leisure time, giving you the chance to immerse yourself in the
art, history, and culinary delights of these iconic destinations.
Please note that Pre-Cruise Extensions require a minimum of 10 rooms to operate.

Pre Cruise Extension
3 Nights in Prague
November 3 - 6, 2027
Begin your journey with three delightful nights in the enchanting city of Prague, where you'll explore its storybook streets, historic landmarks, and UNESCO-listed Old Town. Enjoy guided sightseeing, including Prague Castle and the famous Astronomical Clock, then experience one of the country's proudest traditions with a Czech beer tasting. On embarkation day, you'll travel through the picturesque countryside with a stop in Plzeň before continuing to Nuremberg to board your river cruise ship.

Day 1
Prague.
Check into your Prague hotel for the beginning of your journey.

- All transfers between the hotel in Prague and the vessel in Nuremburg, with a scenic bus ride and stop in Pilzen

Day 2
Prague.
Explore the city's iconic landmarks on a guided City Tour or choose a more active hiking experience. Highlights include the magnificent 1,000-year-old Prague Castle, the colorful Old Town Square, and the famous Astronomical Clock. You'll also have time to wander at your own pace, discovering hidden courtyards, cafés, and local shops.

Day 3
Prague.
No visit to the Czech Republic would be complete without experiencing its world-renowned beer culture. Enjoy a guided tasting featuring some of the country's finest brews while learning about the traditions that have made Czech beer famous around the world.

Day 4
Prague - Nuremburg, Germany.
On embarkation day, travel by motor coach to Nuremberg with a stop in the historic city of Pilsen, birthplace of the original pilsner-style beer. After a highlights tour, continue to Nuremberg, where you'll board your AmaWaterways ship and begin your Danube River Cruise adventure.
