In between, cruise through the man-made marvel, the Main-Danube Canal, across the Continental Divide and through the UNESCO-designated Wachau Valley. Explore medieval Regensburg and visit Vienna where imperial dynasties built a harmonious blend of architectural wonders. Throughout your journey, get a feel for the land by biking and hiking, and sampling delicate wines and hearty beers.

Day 1. NUREMBERG – EMBARKATION
Bon voyage! Embarkation day is finally here and we are thrilled to have you on board for this exquisite journey on the Danube river! As you step onto the luxurious cruise ship, prepare to immerse yourself in a world of flavors, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. In the evening, you will enjoy the illuminated landscapes of Porto on a scenic cruise aboard your ship.

Day 2. NUREMBERG
Nuremberg blends storybook medieval charm with profound historical significance and a celebrated local food culture. You will have three excursion options today. Explore the city’s medieval highlights on a guided tour featuring the Imperial Castle, historic town walls, and the famed Market Square fountain. For a deeper historical perspective, join a guided visit to key WWII sites. Or indulge in local Franconian flavors with tastings of Nuremberg bratwurst, Rotbier (red beer), and lebkuchen (gingerbread). Later in the day, on the journey to Regensburg, you will cruise the impressive Main-Danube Canal.

Day 3. REGENSBURG
Explore one of Germany’s best preserved medieval cities, Regensburg, on a guided walking tour showcasing the city’s architectural highlights, including the Old Town Hall and the Porta Praetoria. Alternatively, sample some Bavarian specialties—beer, sausage and pretzels, and for those who wish to be more active, join a bike tour to Walhalla where you will see the neoclassical white marble temple inspired by the Parthenon in Athens.

Day 4. PASSAU – LINZ, AUSTRIA
Enjoy a walking tour along Passau’s cobblestone streets admiring the Gothic and Italian Baroque architecture and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Alternatively, venture to Salzburg, Austria, on a full-day tour that includes the opportunity to see Mozart’s Birth House and Mirabell Gardens, prominently featured in the movie, The Sound of Music. For guests looking for a more active morning, you can choose between a guided bike tour along the Inn River, or a guided hike up to the Veste Oberhaus Fortress for panoramic views overlooking three rivers.

Day 5. MELK - THE WACHAU VALLEY
Begin your day with a guided tour of Melk Abbey, known for its Baroque architecture and historic collections. Guests seeking a more active option may hike up to the abbey. Alternatively, stroll through Dürnstein’s cobblestone streets and see its famed Baroque church tower, or bike through the Wachau Valley’s scenic UNESCO landscape. In the afternoon sail through the scenic, UNESCO-designated Wachau Valley, known for its vineyard-lined hillsides and historic villages, ending in Vienna.

Day 6. VIENNA

Alternatively, join a guided bike tour of the city’s attractions. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, either continuing to explore the city or back at the ship relaxing on board.

Day 7. BUDAPEST
